*smacks self in face NOOOOOOO!!!!! it is a first person shooter, based off of team gameplay. for example, you could have a team of Heavys, but if you don't man up and play either medic or engineer, your team WILL lose. That's why it's fun

Ok, I will explain this in the simplest way I possibly can. There are Nine classes, the Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic , Sniper and Spy. Each class has significant Strengths and Weaknesses which are countered by every class. In order for your team to win you must work together unlike so many other games that promote you to go solo. I used the heavy example because yeah, the heavy has a minion and a ton of health, but he is super slow and ineffective at long range, something the sniper can easily deal with. Without a medic or engineer, no one on the team can get healed while on or relatively close to the battlefield. Without say a pyro, Spies can run rampant and sap engineer buildings. I think you see the trend. At this point, the game is no longer about your super COD skills, it's about taking responsibility for your team
